The Arrogance
Hello my children, it has been a while. I am sorry about the long hiatus without a peep, but the subprime crisis has reached devastating levels for my family and my office family. Shit happens, we are now moving on. I want to let you kids know that we need to get together and make sure as many people as we can come out to vote and get registration drives going. You know watching the punditry today, I have finally understood that we are on our own. This people dont have neither the ability nor the capacity to recognize that they are only entertaining, and have no longer the choke hold on our ability to recognize the good from the bullshit. So, Barack Obama, has once again demonstrated his unique capacity to run the Country without breaking a sweat. The arrogance of the punditry to think we will not see the obvious, Obama is certainly our future president and I could not be prouder.

Dignity, Justice and Equality
Dignity; what it means, the worth of one-self, the priceless value of human life and what it represents, the dignity of a country, a race. Justice, what it embodies, the treatment of human beings as without replacement, without equal in treatment and empathy. Equality, as what it creates, the making of a community and the encumbrance of one another into making our lives better. We must understand that we must have dignity first in order to acquire a more perfect union. I have often said to my husband that the difference between Cubans and Puerto Ricans is that Cubans can not acquire their liberty unless they own their dignity as a Country. As a Puerto Rican I have always seen the United States as a great power that we must speak against, if it is unjust, and must protect, if it is attacked. As race becomes less relevant, we must understand that the only major bond we have is our dignity and pride in our Country. And that Country can only be lifted by the dignity that fills its own infrastructure. Don't believe me, look at our own history and our own relevance in the pursuit of justice. We might think that what Obama brings gives us is hope, but I see it as our dignity and pride, and what humiliation we must go thorough to have it back. This election is important for the world, but it is far more important for the soul of American dignity, pride, justice and equality.

Obama and our movement
I have declined to post anything regarding Barack Obama and Reverend Wright because I needed to let it sink in and see how I feel about who we are, where we are and what we could be. Obama today has demonstrated that he is not only our choice, he is our leader in an unified Country that is so desperately longing for that feeling of pride, of richness, of hope. I have long tried to make sense of what it is I see in Obama and reading this Sunday about Reverend Wright's influence in his life and the article written about his Mother I have found what it is that makes us as a Country look toward Obama and his candidacy as something different. He has created in his campaign a bond that has solidified in something greater than anyone could have imagined. This is a movement. I feel more resolved than ever to get him elected. I see that with each passing day, we are more vindicated into getting him to the White House.
This is not about you and me, this is about US, as a Nation and as a Country, yearning for progress in our daily lives, finally becoming part of the solution.

What are the Clinton's fighting for?
The entrenched fight for the nomination between Clinton and Obama has given many the impression that Clinton is nothing but a fighter. But what are they fighting for? And I say they because you must understand that this is not about Hillary its as much about Bill. As her "humanizing" moment in New Hampshire showed, which highlighted that only emotion is to be shown when it was about how hard she has worked, not about the Country. Go ahead and look up the words, do not look at the video, just read the words and you will understand what I mean. Many in the past have said this is about the Clinton's legacy and believe me it is. It is about what the Clinton's must protect for another 8 years until another Bush can get the White House back. Honestly, she is not fighting for you and me, she is fighting for herself, her ambition and their legacy. If America seems to revel in her fighting spirit, just read her words. Who is she fighting for? And why, why, why is she only fighting now? Where was the figher when the Congress voted to authorize the War in Iraq. Where was the fighter when we needed to ban the use of cluster bombs? How about torture? Where was the fighter then? She will only fight when it is her future on the line and not the future of the country, do not be deceived again, as a matter of fact do not believe me, just go look at her record. The fight the Clinton's are so concentrated in winning has nothing to do with you and me, and everything to do with their own political future.

Iraq and how we got there
As drums to go to war with Iraq were being played loudly by this Bush Cheney Republican Administration, many democrats who should have known better, voted for this War. On the eve of the anniversary of our illegal war and occupation of Iraq, I need to say, JUDGEMENT matters.
Many people have been saying that there is no great diference between Obama and Clinton. I beg to differ. I believe they are so different in so many fronts and yet they get painted with the same brush.
The biggest and most visible difference is the way they have shown their judgement when it has really mattered. Obama, although not able to vote at the time of the Iraq War Resolution, was running for US Senate seat in Illinois, but he stood up against the war when it mattered. The same with a vote to ban the use of cluster bombs. The same with the issue of torture at Gitmo, etc.
The difference is this: There have been instances where Clinton could have made taken a leadership role and did not. She should have looked at the issue and determine with the information available what will happen. She chose to do the politically expedient thing and vote with the Republicans. She has thought that by voting for the war and then try to get us out when it was not popular was enough. Well it is not. It is about how we get to where we are, after having the opportunity to do the right thing and vote against a War that has cost so much. Forget about the money, money could always be made. One thing we will never get back is all the lifes lost and damaged due to this war, the mothers, the fathers, the children, the casualties, the suicides, the wounds. We got here due to politicians like Clinton and many, many other democrats that did not take a stand when it mattered. This is how we got there, to Iraq, to this point in time, where no amount of looking back and saying that you are sorry, that you trusted Bush when voting for the war is going to bring back what we have lost.
America must make a clean break from this war, and if it is not Obama, we never will.

Keith Olbermann and Randi Rhodes, new American Heroes
You remember after Ohio and Texas Clinton alluded that blah, blah, blah this one is for you? Well, you remember those commercials that alluded to New American Heroes to announce the beer? Well, the new american heroes are, tara!!! Randi Rhodes and Keith Olbermann. Randi came out strong against the power hungry Clinton campaign and its Rovian antics being played out.
By the same token, we have seen and heard the wonderful comment that Keith Olbermann gave tonight. Like Randi, he has tried not to give his opinion and not let it influence one side or the other, but as with Bush, they could not hold back any longer. It has been pretty heartbreaking, I think, to hear their disappointment as to the tone attributed to the Clinton campaign and they can not hold back any longer. This is what America needs, heroes that will stand for what is right.
Thank you Randi and Thank you Keith. We are grateful as a Nation that you are holding such a high standard for one of our own.

Bush, Clinton, Bush,_________....
There are many that fail to see what is really at stake in this Election. The fact that Obama has created a movement to end with the dynasty families in possession of the Presidency is scary to many in the world. For one, they fear that the ability of Obama to have the American public get behind an issue that it is important to the Nation could really dent some big pockets in Wall Street, K Street and the rest of the world where the interest of the American people is not very well represented, ie Iraq, Iran, Mexico, Canada) and those things done in our name, ie ANWAR, NAFTA, CAFTA, China Trade, Wal-Mart, etc. you get the picture. As I see what has become of one of my favorite democrats in the Clinton campaign has made me feel very sad about what we must now leave behind. The fact that Senator Clinton and former President Clinton have taken such a great campaign and tried to belittle its significance and what means to the public leaves no doubt in my mind that they have sold their souls for power. They have oppressed the trust of all of us for their access to the money grabbing machine that is the White House. My heart was broken when so many democrats voted to Authorize the War in Iraq, but my heart has been broken by the Clintons' and their dirty Republican Bush-Rove campaign and its tactics. Kids are dying in our name and our stead, families are going to bed hungry, parents are working two or three jobs just to keep a roof over their heads. I said it back by November 2001, welcome back to the 80's, maybe that is what the Clintons' see.
I love Keith Olbermann Part II
Keith will do a special comment tonight on Hillary Clinton's campaign, please watch, it is very important!
of whoring and politics part II
Reading the blogs this morning I have found one prevalent factor. The Country is tired of the racism, objectifying, sexism, cronyism of American Politics. We are indeed ready to change the Nation and by definition the World.
We can not underestimate the hold that money has over our heads. We have sold our souls as a Nation for oil by occupying Iraq. We have sold our small towns for a lower price at WalMart, we have sold our morality for a little bit of excitement. We have sold our future over quick bucks to be made in Wall Street.
As I saw the victories mounting for Barack Obama, we have seen the desperation of the networks in trying to slow down the pace and create doubt. It is true that the status quo does not want to see the power of the people. It is true they are scared shit less about the movement Obama has tapped into. Just go to his website. Just read the blog, for Pete's sake, I am even writing in a blog. His ability to connect with people is amazing. The establishment IS running scared. Just imagine what we could do if we use the same power to get thorough legislation to end the war. The congress will no longer be able to say, we can not do this or we can not do that. The people's movement is afoot and the Establishment will be crushed. Obama '08

Mississippi being projected a win for Obama, that combined with his additional delegate wins in Texas and California create the better news for Obama and his supporters.
Congratulations to Senator Obama and his great community of supporters.
Thanks again for this great campaign.

Financial Markets
Many people might not know this, but one consequence of the division in our politics in the 1990's is the abolition of the Glass Seawald Act of 1937 (please look it up if not convinced). Right in between the political war with the Clinton's was the Leach Bailey Gramm Act of 1998 which in fact allowed the security markets to play in Wall Street. This is why its so important that our politics are understood. Many people do not know this, many people have ignored this fact, which is a consequence of this kind of scorched earth politics that we are subjecting ourselves to, THINK, RESEARCH, and then Vote.
Dems sitting out?
It is beyond me that certain members of Congress for Florida are sitting out instead of campaigning agressively for the new candidates. This is why we need to sweep the Nation in '08. This is a disgrace. Shame on you Wasserman-Schultz and Meeks. Again, judgement.
Guess who they are supporting? They are not even willing to go to the mat for new Democratic candidates to have a veto proof majority. How then, is Hillary going to get anything passed in the new congress?
This is fucking ridiculous. We should have somebody run against them as well. Enough!

Breathe
Greg Craig reflects on the experience alluded by the Clintons. If it were true, then why Rwanda? Why intervene in Kosovo and not in Africa? Why let Castro shot down the plane for Brothers to the Rescue without a response? Why Rwanda? Why Rwanda? Why let it happen?
To this day, I can not even think about Rwanda without loosing my breath. I can not breath since Iraq was invaded and occupied. Clinton helped in that invasion and occupation. Can we afford her inexperience and lack of judgement?
Can we as a Nation condone her inability to vote in favor of a ban for cluster bombs? Can we?
We, collectively, as a Nation need a clean break from the policies, and as Obama says, the mindset that has taken us to war for such a long time. We need to breath, we need to think what, as a Nation, can make us better, not only monetarily, not only militarily, but educationally and as human beings. We need to respect and enforce the Laws that has made us a beacon of light for the rest of the World. We need to lead, we need to grow, we need to breathe.

The CIC Threshold
What does that mean? Does it mean that Laura Bush could be Commander in Chief? You know, people laugh when Obama in regards to a question about a terrorist attack answered by calling attention to our emergency response, but isn't it that what we are looking for? Someone that could put in place and with great attention to detail the kind of organization that thinks of everything? My husband told me that it showed he was not ready, I disagree, all you have to look at is at their campaigns. He has thought of everything, including the pledge delegates, the length of the campaign, etc.
It also shows you the depth of his vision, maturity and his mindset. His incredible way of looking at the Country from its most weakest position and how to make it stronger yes from the ground up, that is what a Leader does, makes us stronger from the inside out, not the other way around.
Obama is a one in a million man, he truly is!
